The international operator of energy terminals KN begins the year 2024 with a victory in the public tender for the commercial operation of four liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals on the German North Sea coast. The company has signed an agreement with Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET), a German state-owned company that operates state-owned LNG terminals.

DET, owned by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection, is the first LNG terminal in Germany to operate on the North Sea coast, the first LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven and LNG in Brunsbüttel. terminal operator. According to the contract signed by KN and DET, the commercial management services of the four LNG terminals will include the management of commercial and logistics operations, gasification processes, gas accounting and reporting, development and provision of IT systems and tools, and other terminal operation services tailored to the client's needs.
 
The concluded contract also includes the obligation of capacity building and transfer of expert KN knowledge to DET employees. During the term of the contract, KN aims to train the local team so that they can later ensure the commercial operation of the terminals themselves.
